Text Features This text belonging to the navya-vyākaraṇa type is systematically treating the vibhakti-s or case endings in Sanskrit grammar. The sūtras of Pāṇini are frequently cited and expounded. Although throughout grammatical, the text makes part of the Navya-nyāya section of Indian philosophy. There is another text of the same title, different from this one, by Jayakṛṣṇa Maunin.

Manuscript Features

There a few irregularities as to the scribe’s foliation. Each fol. is being counted twice on the verso: in the upper left-hand margin with śrī preceding every number, and in the lower right-hand margin with rāma preceding every number. On exposure 26 the scribe has counted first “25” and then “26”. Exp. 170 and 171 are two different, i.e. consecutive foll., but both are numbered “165”. Exp. 220 shows fol. 214, but from exp. 221 onwards the scribe counts “225” and so forth, the text running continuously without any missing portion.
